Sevierville Golf Club Opens Eagle’s Nest Toptracer Range

Sevierville Golf Club has opened Eagle’s Nest, a covered driving range that combines traditional practice with Toptracer shot tracking, virtual courses and interactive games.

The new facility opened Aug. 7 at the city-owned golf club, located at 1444 Old Knoxville Highway. Its covered hitting bays overlook the club’s practice range and are designed to give golfers another option in hot, cold or wet weather. The tourism office describes the bays as heated for year-round use, with seating and food and beverage service available.

Toptracer uses cameras and software to follow each golf ball after it is struck. Players can see measurements such as distance, ball speed, launch and shot shape on a screen at the bay. The same technology also supports virtual rounds and golf games, making the range useful for experienced players working on their swings as well as families and groups looking for a more casual activity.

Access changes during the day. Before 4 p.m., golfers can purchase range balls and use the covered area along with the club’s traditional practice range. After 4 p.m., the city says 10 Eagle’s Nest bays are available for hourly reservations. The evening setup is intended for regular practice as well as birthday parties, team-building outings, church groups and corporate events.

City officials approved up to $535,000 for the covered-range project in late 2025. The budget included the structure, utilities, furniture, heaters, fans, Toptracer equipment and other site work. The investment adds an attraction-style experience to a municipal golf property that already includes two 18-hole courses.

The range is scheduled to operate seven days a week when the golf course is open. A city operating plan presented before opening called for later hours during the April-through-October peak season, though exact availability and bay prices can vary by date and time. Reservations and current rates are available through the Eagle’s Nest booking site.

For Sevierville visitors, the new range offers an activity that does not require committing to a full round of golf. Its combination of covered bays, real-time feedback and game options also gives groups a weather-resistant recreation choice near the city’s Highway 66 tourism corridor.
