All About the Smokies is a locally owned publication covering news, tourism, attractions, events and visitor information across the Great Smoky Mountains region. Our goal is to help residents and visitors understand what is changing, what is open, what is planned and what matters when making decisions in and around the Smokies.

What we cover

Our coverage includes Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. We report on openings, closures, attractions, restaurants, businesses, roads, trails, events and other developments that affect visitors and local residents.

How we work

We monitor official agencies, tourism organizations, businesses, established local news outlets and selected community sources. Developing information is described with appropriate uncertainty, and sensitive reporting receives human review.
