Sevierville Announces Labor Day Closures and Service Schedule
Most Sevierville government offices and public facilities will close Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day, but the city golf course and commercial dumpster collection will continue on their normal schedules.
City Hall, the Sevierville Community Center and the Sevierville Civic Center will be closed for the holiday. Administrative offices for Public Works, the Water Department, the Police Department and the Sevierville Convention Center will also close.
The Sevierville Golf Club and Mulligan’s Restaurant will remain open during their regular operating hours. Commercial dumpster collection will take place as scheduled, so businesses on Monday routes should follow their normal procedures.
Although Water Department administrative offices will be closed, customers can report water emergencies at 865-453-5522. Police emergency services are not affected by the closure; the schedule applies to records and administrative offices.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting normally associated with that Monday has been canceled. A separate city notice says the board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. in Council Hall at the Sevierville Civic Center.
The holiday falls during a busy late-summer travel period in the Smokies, so visitors should not assume every city-operated facility is closed. Golf and restaurant operations continue, while recreation-center services and in-person city business pause for the day. City Hall can be reached at 865-453-5504 for additional schedule information before the holiday.
