Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud Adds a New Fall Show Sept. 11

The Hatfields and McCoys are extending their famous Pigeon Forge feud into harvest season with a new fall production running Sept. 11 through Nov. 5.

The seasonal version of Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud keeps the attraction’s two-hour mix of comedy, music, stunts and an all-you-can-eat meal, but adds a new autumn storyline and visual changes throughout the theater.

The fall atmosphere begins before the main show with a talking scarecrow, a scarecrow band in seasonal costumes, jack-o’-lanterns and oversized spiderwebs. Once the feud gets underway, the two families compete over who will win a costume party at the fictional Sevier County Fall Festival.

The production also brings the clans together for a Monster Mash musical medley staged beneath a large harvest moon with fog and tree-branch scenery. Familiar show elements remain, including clogging, dueling banjos, comedy competitions, live animals and stunts performed around the mountainside set and its 24-foot-deep swimming hole.

Dinner continues to include creamy soup, hot bread, fried chicken, pulled pork barbecue, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and coleslaw. A choice of dessert and tea or coffee completes the meal, with pumpkin pie pudding available for a limited time during the fall run.

Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud has operated in Pigeon Forge since 2011. The new production gives returning visitors a season-specific version of the attraction while preserving the format families already know.

The fall show begins as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg move into their busiest autumn weeks, making advance reservations especially useful for weekend visits. Performance times and current prices vary by date and are available through the attraction’s official reservation site.

Unlike a one-night festival, the production continues for nearly two months, giving visitors an indoor evening option through the changing-leaf and Halloween portions of the Smokies season.
